Can anyone tell me why. [Cheating]

So I've noticed this when I scav.
the moment I have any valuable loot, a graphics card or a quest key, labs card or whatever
I will always get popped by another playerscav unless I beeline to an extract ASAP
Never players, always player scavs and I haven't been karma killed any other time

Any idea why this is? Thanks.
