Why do talented people struggle while others thrive ?

I’ve noticed that some highly intelligent and talented people, who learn quickly and work hard, often struggle financially or barely make ends meet. Meanwhile, others with fewer skills or less intelligence seem to become successful entrepreneurs and have doors open for them with ease. How much of this is influenced by the surrounding environment, social conditions, or the economic system of a country? Are there hidden factors at play?
