Is this ring boring?

Full disclosure. I’d never even looked at engagement rings until deciding I’m going to propose in a few months.

My girlfriend isn’t flashy, isn’t materialistic and I think she’d appreciate something sentimental. She also has tiny hands so didn’t want to get something too big or clunky for her.

I decided on a 0.91 carat round diamond, solitaire ring. D colour, SI1, excellent cut etc. With the band it cost me £2950 which I was happy with comparing prices online of similar diamonds etc.

I am quite an indecisive person but the more I look at this, is it boring? Is it considered timeless? My perspective is skewed by a friend who bought a lab grown 2 carat Oval diamond with a similar band for cheaper, it shouldn’t affect me but I’m ashamed to say subconsciously it does.

Can I have your opinions please? Be as open and honest as possible, I’m considering changing it. One thing I will say is the photo doesn’t do the shine justice, one thing that’s making me considering keeping it.
