Garden of Eden

Hi all! I want to share a dream that I had around two years ago, but I still remember it vividly and it's been on my mind ever since.

I am a teen living with his parents and a religious person- Catholic to be exact- and just over two years ago, my grandfather died. (He actually happened to die on All Saint's Day, coincidentally). Naturally, we were grieving- he was a wonderful person, but his health had been failing over the summer and he died of some tumor on his liver.

Anyway, the funeral was held in my home country, and after it was over we flew back home. About a week later, I had the dream I will tell you about now.

I was walking through a sparse forest, the plant life was lush and a vibrant green, almost like a jungle. It honestly looked like a biblically accurate Garden of Eden, like a tropical paradise. There were many fruits on the trees. I also remember picking what I think was an apple off of one of them and eating it. It was the juiciest, sweetest apple I'd ever tasted.

There were animals, too, tropical birds in bright colors. They weren't scared of me and were calm with my being there.

I kept walking until I reached a sort of clearing. There were two grave lanterns (the handmade glass kind) on a slab of black stone, like obsidian. The sky got darker, not pitch black, but the kind of dark right after sunset.

As the sky got darker, you could see a light in each of the lanterns. They were like a blue candle flame, but it was disembodied (there wasn't a candle in either of the lanterns). They were just sort of floating around in the glass.

Then, they started talking to me. In my grandfather's voice. It felt like they were talking right into my brain, if that makes sense- it didn't feel like a physical thing, anyway.

The first lantern told me "not to worry", that "He is not suffering" (exact words) and that I will live a long life.

The second one said that "you will find happiness" and "love will find you".

Then I just kind of... walked away, I guess? And then I guess I woke up, because that's as much as I remember.

When I woke up, I immediately scribbled down the main points of the dream on a page in a notebook, and never told anybody about it.

I would be very grateful if anyone could help me interpret it. Bless you all!
