Rant/Rec, The Daily Life of Being the Campus Idol's Fake Boyfriend
So I am currently reading
The Daily Life of Being the Campus Idol’s Fake Boyfriend
and it's very sweet but it also makes me sick because so many things are so exaggerated and cringe to the point I'm considering dropping it. (Sorry in advance if any of this is offensive.)
From most to least annoying and least to less wanted:
The Fujoshis: Barf. I don't see the point of them being in every other story. They bring nothing to the plot and it's just plain uncomfortable to read about them. I should probably grow up and get used to them on occasions and I tried. I was so excited reading about their first kiss (on the cheek) but it immediately cut to the fujoshis screaming like crazy and it ruined the whole experience for me so I'm a little sensitive right now. No hate to irl ones, this is meant for fictional ones exclusively.
The CP Fans: This one I kinda get because their entire existence is based on being as intrusive as possible (not unlike number 1) and it being a university setting, but them on top of the Fujoshis is just too much. I feel they have the potential to be less annoying but I have yet to read a story with respectful CP fans. Seriously, these people have no boundaries. There are instances of the MCs classmates teasing them and I'm fine with that. But most of them are borderline obsessive and keep eyeing them like a hawk which is downright uncomfortable to read.
Love Confessions from minor one time characters: I get it, the LI is hot. What I don't get is the need for him to get random love confessions. Every. Single. Chapter. As angsty as they are this is the reason I prefer Love Triangles or stories with multiple love interests because I prefer crying to throwing up thankyou very much.
Gay stereotypes: I have yet to read any danmei with overtly stereotypical gay men and thankfully this one isn't the exception. But!!! The MC keeps saying "even he, a gay, does not do this", "even he, a gay, does not do that" and it was funny at first but the recurrent emphasis is excessive and annoying and makes the MC seem kinda elitist. It also doesn't help that some of his earlier thoughts held slightly misogynistic undertones but he was puberty age then so I'll just chalk it up to that.
I will not be dropping it because I still really like the relationship and want to see it to completion but powering through my annoyance would ruin any affection I have for the story so I'll be putting it on hold right now. In the meantime I want a contemporary (not necessary though) in school/college/uni or otherwise educational setting with none of the above mentioned things.
(Option 3 reminded me that I haven't read any love triangles or multiple LI in a while, if possible can I get some recs for that too? Could be any setting. If making two recs at once isn't allowed than just ignore this one)

Tl;Dr, Recommendations for school/college/uni setting with no fujoshis/CP fans or love confessions every two chapters.
