John's new "look" is a reaction to DabblersAnonymous

We made fun of him for doing Cameos with a slicked back head of sweat. It is mentioned that most people will just wear a baseball hat to not look so disgusting and the next few days he wears a hat that has obviously been sitting in the bottom of a box somewhere for the last 5 years. Because he's not going to spend $10 at Walmart to wear a new, clean hat.

We make fun of him for wearing the same 7 tattered, faded, ill-fitting t-shirts. He responds by wearing old, stained, tattered, ill-fitting blazers he got from a thrift store. Because buying some new, cheap collared shirts (that can also be worn while teaching) at Walmart or Target doesn't fit into his strict budget.
