Quality Control / Customer ordering

I custom built a 2024 Chevy traverse LT back in August- it was delivered to the shipyard end of September and has been sitting there since 9/24– the dealer has no information for me about it, and when it would be released, it’s just sitting there for “quality control”.

I told them to just order me a new car at this point and make it a 2025- and now they have to wait until they’re “given/allocated” a traverse to place the order, is this common for dealers to have to wait to order a car even when a customer is requesting it?
