I got a diagnosis!

Hi I posted here ages ago asking for help with gynaecology problems. I received so much help and I wanted to extend a massive thank you again to all that reached out to me. I’ll paste the original post here:

Healthcare (Gynaecology)

Hi, sorry if this is not the place to post but I am desperate. I have had ongoing gynaecology issues for years but my gps and gynaecologist are no help. Is there any gynaecology in Ireland that actually helps women ? It has been years and I have not even been tested for issues or just been given pill after pill to get my periods to stop or slow down to literally no avail. At my breaking point and sorry for being vague because I know this is not the type of content that’s looked for here haha hopefully someone here has advice. —————————————————————— So I did not end up receiving any sufficient help for quite awhile even after going to a&e. I ended up on my period for 8 months straight. How did I not throw myself off a bridge I do not know. I also got laid off from my job before I could save up for private healthcare or to afford travelling to Dublin to the woman’s health clinics. So yeah was even more at my wits end. My luck changed a few days ago when I went to my gynaecology check up and I randomly got a diagnosis ? Years and years of gaslighting and being told to go have a baby before they test me and this lovely doctor just blurts out a diagnosis.

Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding.

This sub encouraged me to keep advocating for myself and I am so happy I did. I hope the Irish public health system continues to get better and that no women feels ashamed to keep advocating for themselves for as long as I have to get the help they need.
