Is Bard the cheapest Speech To Text
Hey Everyone,
I wanted to double-check the pricing for Google Speech-to-Text and Gemini 1.5 Pro for audio transcription. Here's what I've found:Google Speech-to-Text V2 API:
- $0.16 per 10 minutes (when data logging is disabled)
- For 1 hour of audio, that would be approximately $0.96
Gemini 1.5 Pro:
- Audio input: $0.00003125 per second
- For 1 hour (3600 seconds): $0.1125 for audio input
- Text output: Additional $0.00125 per 1K characters
Can anyone confirm these numbers? I'm planning to do a lot of transcription and want to make sure I'm calculating the costs correctly.
I assume that would make using Gemini just for transcription and order of magniture cheaper than Google Speech To Text. Is it just worst? Maybe slower?
