9 month old wants to be fed

I was doing BLW with my 9 month old and he was eating fairly well by himself. He used to finish 3/4th of the things on his plate.

Past week I had a super busy week at work and his nanny fed him 3 meals instead of BLW.

Today I tried offering some of the things he ate before like banana pancakes and he just tore it apart and threw them around. Similar story with eggs. If I took the food near his mouth, he opened his mouth which means he was interested but wanted to be fed. However he absolutely loved fruits and picked up all the strawberry and mango pieces and ate himself.

Is this picky eating, or a phase or is his blw screwed due to the weeks worth of feeding? I don’t understand how he’s self feeding fruits but wants to be fed other food?

Please advice a worried mama. I don’t want to spend hours of my time feeding him.
