do acd's calm down after the 6 month mark?

hello! my red heeler is about 5 months old and hes definitely mischievously and hyperactive😭 he has plenty of space to run and play and i take him for walks 3x a day (we play ball at nearby cricket pitches) so pent up energy isnt really a worry for me, but will this cheeky behavior ease up? ive heard the 6 month mark is a bit tough in terms of behavior
