Swelling in nerve shaft (non cancerous) But something doesn’t make sense to me (22m, 181cm, no meds)

Basically I have a swelling in my nerve shaft like the title says on my right arm. This has given me great pain on my hand. However, this is what doesn’t make sense. My right hand feels very hard. Like it’s dried up. Like it’s brittle. Meanwhile my left is still soft like a normal hand. Is this potentially something else or does a swelling there do this aswell? Thanks in advance.
