I have misophonia and autism. Small noises are like nails to a chalkboard for me. AMA! (No proof because I couldn't find any)
Hi, I'm Sam. I have misophonia, which means I have really sensitive ears. I also have autism, which basically means no one understands me. When I was about to start Kindergarten was when a school psychologist diagnosed me with autism.
I was bullied a lot in elementary school because humming basically made me crazy, not so much in intermediate school (5-6 grade). Middle school is in question due to the virus, and I don't want to get bullied again.
When I was in first grade I started to wear big headphones at school. When I began to wear glasses, I stopped wearing them because they were uncomfortable, even when I really needed them. Sometimes the way others breathed made me snap.
This doesn't mean I don't have a normal life, though. I listen to classic rock music (think 60s-70s) and watch Spongebob and The Simpsons. I also watch Eddsworld on YouTube and I'm a member of the Danganronpa fandom. Autism and misophonia does not stop me from living the life I want.
