Great, too fat for an ablation

I have struggled a lot with my weight but lost over 80lbs in 2024.

Just got back from the cardio and asked about the ablation and she said that the electrophysiologist might not want to do it because of my weight, they tend to want to exhaust other options including cardioversion and medications before damaging the heart's tissue in an overweight person? I guess there's slightly more risk to it.

But it's just like... I worked so hard this year and changed so much of my lifestyle and I still ended up with AFib, unable to get the known fix because of my weight.

I'm just devastated.
